GnuCash 5.9 released with several new features, improvements, and bug fixes
GnuCash, the personal and small-business financial-accounting software, has released version 5.9, marking the tenth release in its stable 5.x series. This update introduces several key features and improvements. Users can now add new transactions during reconciliation, and error reporting for bad credentials with the MySQL backend has been enhanced. The release also incorporates the YH Finance (FINANCEAPI) API Key into its Quotes infrastructure, adding FINANCEAPI to the list of known sources.
The update moves static copied_class
and static copied_leader_guid
into the copied_item
structure and improves the CSV date parser using ICU and Boost libraries. Additionally, GnuCash 5.9 addresses issues with uncommitted edits when opening files from history and resolves a transaction copy/paste problem. Several other bug fixes and security improvements are included, along with the deprecation of the gnc_difftime
function and updates to various translations.
