Microsoft is testing auto-launch of Windows Copilot on widescreen PCs in new preview build
Microsoft is currently testing a feature in its upcoming Windows 11 preview build for Insiders in the Dev Channel, which would automatically launch the Windows Copilot interface on widescreen PCs upon startup. This feature can be managed through Settings Personalization Copilot. The company has not clarified what it considers "widescreen" though, creating ambiguity about the display ratios included.
The feature is being treated as a test and may not be part of the final release (most probably yes), and although there is very little information about how it would operate, users will have the option to disable this automatic feature in the settings panel.
This move isn't really unexpected for the company considering that Copilot is a central part in the next major Windows OS version, and it has already been incorporated into several key tools, including the Microsoft 365 Suite, Paint (Cocreator), and its recently revealed plans for integration with Notepad.
