Microsoft introduces Voice Shortcuts and Key Features in latest Windows 11 Insiders Build

Microsoft has launched the latest Windows 11 build number 26020 for Insider Program members in the Canary Channel. The update introduces 'voice shortcuts', a feature that allows users to assign custom voice commands for various actions like opening folders or executing key combinations. This feature, currently available to English-speaking users, can be accessed by saying "show voice shortcuts", then clicking "Create Command" to set up a custom command. All created voice shortcuts can be accessed from the command help page or by using the command "show voice shortcuts."

The new update also brings features such as the ability to pause and resume print jobs, a power-saving Taskbar icon, and an option to rename PCs during Nearby sharing. It also includes previews for natural voices in 10 new locales launched in September 2023, and updates the Windows share window to display apps associated with the signed-in Microsoft account.

This update also signals the discontinuation of certain recognized features, with People, Steps Recorder and WordPad no longer available in future versions of Windows, as announced in September of last year.
