YouTube Music rolls out Real-Time Lyrics feature for Android and iOS users
YouTube Music has introduced real-time lyrics for Android and iOS users, a feature already present on other alternatives such as Apple Music and Spotify. Initially announced in April, the feature was restricted to some regions but has since been made available to a wider audience.
The real-time lyrics, larger and clearer than static lyrics, align with the song's vocals. To use this feature, users tap the "Lyrics" button at the bottom of the screen while a song is playing. The lyrics then occupy the entire screen and scroll automatically as the song advances, with the current line highlighted.
Users can also skip to a specific part of the song by selecting a particular lyric, with the song resuming from that point. However, the feature is not yet accessible to all users, but a broader rollout is anticipated soon. Some limitations exist; not all songs have live lyrics, and they are only visible while the song is playing on the device. Despite these constraints, YouTube Music's real-time lyrics feature is projected to expand further, eventually including all songs for all users.
