X Pro (TweetDeck) now requires a paid Blue subscription to be used
X (Twitter) has recently rebranded TweetDeck, a popular tool for journalists, social media managers, and other power users, to X Pro. As of now, accessing X Pro requires a Blue subscription. TweetDeck, known for its customizable views of multiple feeds, was initially developed by Iain Dodsworth in 2008 and subsequently acquired by Twitter in 2011.
Attempting to access the new X Pro now redirects users to twitter.com/i/premium_sign_up, where they are informed of the need to purchase a Blue subscription. Blue is the paid version of X and is priced at €100.80 annually or €9.60 monthly.
Upon the change to X Pro, some users have expressed dissatisfaction, stating the new version is noticeably inferior to the original free TweetDeck. It remains to be seen how the product will evolve under the new paid-only model.
