Telegram has finally launched the Stories feature for all users on its 10th anniversary
Telegram has officially launched its Stories feature for all users, after initially introducing it to Premium subscribers. The launch coincides with the messaging app's 10th anniversary.
Unlike Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, TikTok or WhatsApp, Telegram's Stories feature allows users to edit their story after posting, eliminating the need to delete and repost. Users can also adjust the privacy settings of their Stories, choosing to share them publicly or with select contacts. Stories appear at the top of the chat list and can be hidden in the Contacts section.
In addition to these features, Telegram Stories also offer customizable expiration times, from 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours to permanent display on a dedicated grid on the user's profile. They support captions, links, and user tagging, as well as photo and video posts taken with front and rear cameras. You can also access to detailed view statistics, where you can filter to show just your contacts, and sort by recent views first or reactions first, or search for an specific user in the search bar if you want to. Aditionally, premium users have access to a Stealth Mode feature, which hides their story views for a period of time. You can check the full list of features included with the newly upgraded version here.
