Rockstar Games prematurely releases GTA 6 trailer and confirms 2025 launch on PS5 and Xbox
Rockstar Games, the developer of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), released the game's trailer about 12 hours ahead of its scheduled drop on Tuesday, Dec. 5. The early release on YouTube was prompted by a leak of the trailer on X (formerly Twitter) in a low-resolution format.
In an official press release published by Rockstar Games, it was confirmed that GTA 6 would be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. However, there was no mention of a PC version at the moment.
The press release also revealed that “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
The trailer and announcement have generated a significant buzz among gamers worldwide on social media, indicating that the latest opus in the GTA series is meeting expectations.
