Fedora Asahi Remix 39: A tailored Linux experience for Apple Silicon Macs now available
More than four months after introducing Fedora Asahi Remix, Fedora has announced the general availability of Fedora Asahi Remix 39, a distribution developed in collaboration with the Fedora Asahi SIG and the Asahi Linux project. Based on Fedora Linux 39, this Remix is designed to provide a polished experience for users of Apple Silicon Macs, with extensive platform and device support.
The Fedora Asahi Remix supports all MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, Mac Studio, and iMac systems with M1 and M2 chips. It offers KDE Plasma, complemented by a custom Calamares-based initial setup wizard, and a GNOME variant. Both desktop variants are in line with what Fedora Linux offers, and both leverage XWayland to support legacy X11 apps, using Wayland out of the box.
The Remix also includes non-conformant OpenGL 3.3 support, featuring GPU-accelerated geometry shaders and transform feedback. It is the only certified conformant OpenGL ES 3.1 implementation for Apple Silicon. High-quality audio is fully supported, courtesy of an integrated DSP solution that delivers balanced sound with full loudness and dynamic range, without impacting battery life.
In addition to the desktop versions, Fedora Asahi Remix 39 also offers a Fedora Server variant for server workloads and other headless deployments.

AWESOME!!! This project has made it so far! I am looking forward to the future!
