TikTok partners with Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music for 'Add to Music App' feature
TikTok is partnering with leading music streaming platforms including Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music to introduce a new feature called "Add to Music app." This allows users to save songs from TikTok directly to their chosen music streaming app.
The feature is currently being introduced to users in the U.S. and the U.K., with plans to expand to more markets in the future. In these territories, Spotify and Amazon Music users can save tracks to their playlists, with Amazon's integration restricted to Prime members and Amazon Music Unlimited customers. Apple Music is not mentioned in TikTok's official announcement , but its integration is evident in several screenshots shared by the company.
To use the feature, both TikTok and the selected music streaming app must be updated to the latest versions, and set as the default streaming service on TikTok, which can be done either when first using the feature or through TikTok's Settings page under Music. Songs can then be saved directly to the music streaming app by tapping the "Add to Spotify/Amazon Music/Apple Music" button on TikTok, with these songs appearing in the Liked Songs playlist on the music platform.
