Sony to end Twitter/X integration on PS4 and PS5 consoles starting November 13

Sony has revealed plans to discontinue Twitter/X integration on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles starting November 13, as per a statement on PlayStation's support website. This decision will restrict users from viewing and posting content on X directly from their PS4 and PS5 consoles, including gameplay-related activities and trophies.

With the termination of Twitter/X integration, PlayStation users will need to resort to alternative methods such as the official Playstation Plus App for sharing their media.

Sony's move is similar to Microsoft's earlier decision to remove Twitter/X integration from Xbox consoles and the Xbox Game Bar on Windows, coinciding with the introduction of a new API pricing structure by X. As of now, the Nintendo Switch, another current-gen console, still supports media sharing on Twitter/X.
