Figma launches FigJam AI: advanced AI tools for collaborative whiteboard service
Figma has introduced FigJam AI, an array of AI tools for its collaborative whiteboard service, FigJam. The suite is designed to generate ready-made templates for common design and planning projects, aiming to cut down on manual preparation for designers.
FigJam AI's Generate feature offers prompts for creating templates such as flowcharts, brainstorming sessions, and meeting planners. Users can customize the generated projects as per their needs. The AI tool also gives default descriptions for content, like suggesting a timeline, project count, and milestones when creating a Gantt chart. The platform's virtual sticky notes can be automatically grouped based on themes using the Sort feature, while the Summarize feature can compile a summary of information from groups of stickies with one click. These features enhance Jambot, a ChatGPT-powered FigJam widget launched in beta in August.
The FigJam AI tools are currently free for all customer tiers, but the company has not yet specified whether the service will continue to be free once it becomes widely available. In the meantime, you can try the new features we've mentioned, and more from here.
