Obsidian enhances its importer tool to support Apple Notes

Obsidian, the private and flexible writing app, has recently enhanced its importer tool. The updated tool now enables users to convert their data from multiple proprietary formats into portable, durable files. These files are compatible with any Markdown app, providing the user with unrestricted control over their data, eliminating the constraints of a single tool.

Introduced three months ago, Obsidian's importer tool initially offered the capability to convert data from a wide range of sources, including Notion, Evernote, Google Keep, Microsoft OneNote, Bear, Roam Research, and HTML files.

In its latest update, the importer tool has extended its compatibility to include Apple Notes, accommodating its various content types, inclusive of internal links added in iOS 17. This expanded functionality offers users intending to transition away from Apple Notes or those seeking to back up their data, the ability to effortlessly convert their Apple Notes into portable, durable files using the Obsidian Importer.
