Dropbox introduce new web UI, AI-Powered search, and collaboration tool for video creators
Dropbox has revealed a new web interface with a variety of upgrades, including an action bar for quick access to functions like screen recording, file uploading, and folder creation. Dropbox has also improved its file previews to make the editing of images, videos, and PDFs easier. The new UI will be gradually rolled out to all customers in the upcoming months.
The company is also improving its AI capabilities with the introduction of the AI-powered universal search feature, Dropbox Dash, currently in open beta and revealed just a few months ago. This feature helps users find their work across multiple apps and browser tabs, kinda like an alternative to Spotlight for the web, but more powerful. Dropbox AI also can summarize and answer questions about a user's content, including videos, documents, and audio files. The plan is to extend this feature to cover all content in a user's account.
The company is also launching Dropbox Studio, a collaboration tool for video creators which provides a central location for editing, commenting, and publishing. Additionally, the platform is rolling out new subscription tiers that you can check here.
