Due to the alleged hijacking of various apps by SF.

"I humbly request that Notepad++ users not encourage such scams, and educate others not to download any software from SourceForge. I request as well that the project owners on SourceForge move out of SourceForge, in order to preserve the purpose of the Open Source Community and encourage the works of true authors/creators."

(Re: Android app) Simple, not many bells and whistles but perfect for logging your workout without adding a gazillion social media links and fancy animations. Only drawback: both android app and website devoid of https/ssl.

[Edited by tabakis, April 09] An email later, and the dev has enabled SSL on the website. Hope he does the same for the android app soon.

    See: https://springpad.com/blog/2014/05/springpad-says-goodbye/

Springpad has provided its users with a few ways of exporting their data "including a full Evernote migration, a viewable HTML data backup, and an importable JSON file for other services to use".

    Sad to see them go.

Why is the app $1.50 in the Play Store? [..] it’s hard to rely on donations solely as a source of income, which is why I’ve made the Play Store version $1.50. [..]

It's our pleasure to announce the release of Semplice Linux 6, code-named 'Stairway to Heaven'. This release brings many important performance-related changes, such as systemd as the default init system, a new desktop-optimized kernel and compressed memory. Also, we have rewritten our menu builder. With this release, the central part of the system, the menu, is faster than ever. Other noteworthy changes are the support to window snapping and an easy-to-use tool to add launchers to the...

"Until now, we’ve been an exclusive platform open only to approved users. We took this initial approach because we wanted to ensure that the software worked, first of all, and that the platform was seeded with great content by seasoned and experienced authors. Now we’re finally ready to let more people try Svbtle. Today, we’re opening sign up for everyone."

The following straight from Lewish, author of asciiflow (2014-01-20):

Sorry that the site is down, it's hard to deal with spikes of traffic like this without over provisioning!

Just thought I would chime in, I'm working hard on a complete re-write of ASCIIFlow, killing GWT and moving to canvas + JS while keeping the ASCII look and feel, adding tools to resize things, and making the canvas size infinite and most importantly, supporting mobile!

I could never bring myself to the tedious task of manually adding contact photos in me Android smartphone .. This thing works like magic and generates identicons based on your contact's name.

P.S You might have seen identicons at work in Wordpress, Github (https://github.com/blog/1586-identicons ) and ofcourse Gravatar.

The biggest change, cryptographic primitives: "GNUnet used RSA 2048 since its inception in 2001, but as of GNUnet 0.10.0, we are powered by Curve25519". This change "breaks backwards compatibility entirely".
