- Reviewed jotty·page
As a note taking app, it's straight-forward and also provides switching to Markdown support. Bonus, you can also encrypt notes.
- Commented on De-Proton your life
I would also suggest jotty.page as a note taking app.
Reviewed OVHI've enjoyed using my VPS with no issues or hassles on OVH.

Aw sweet, the blacklist!
Reviewed FalixNodesOnce I've gotten past their anti-adblock multiple times, the service is tolerable to use with my actions I take on my end. Since 2018 as a user, I've seen the service been refined and received a lot of improvements, with more to come from the looks of it.
Out of all of the available free services out there in the world, I still recommend Falix to this day as the go-to solution for getting a Minecraft server on Java or Bedrock, if you're looking for a company to host it for you. Alternatively,...
Reviewed myDrive StorageSimple to setup and files are encrypted.
Reviewed AnubisLooking into ditching Cloudflare and still need a way to add bot protection and prevent AI crawlers on your websites? Anubis seems be a straight-forward solution to that, it has been added to SudoVanilla as of late April 2025 and is operating as expected.
Reviewed Spot Spotify ClientWhile the client is for premium accounts only, I don't think the client really offers much in functions. At the end of the day, yes it does play Spotify music and it works from there.
Spot should be more than what it is now.
Reviewed DelfinFantastic application for Jellyfin on the GNOME desktop for Linux users. I have a much smoother watching experience using this over the Jellyfin web app, with barely any buffers too on an instance with slow network speeds.
Reviewed FastmailI've enjoyed the service that FastMail provides to it's customers and it's affordable pricing, I'm paying for the Standard plan at only $5/month and using my own domain for my emails. Another thing I really like is the integration I can use on 1Password, since FastMail as a Masked Emails feature, I can create those on the fly when signing up on websites with 1Password. The only thing that's missing, is the ability to use custom HTML in emails. A third-party email app may be needed for that. The...

Librewolf should be added with the web browsers. 4get Araa, and Whoogle with search engines.
Reviewed CloudreveI would prefer this over Nextcloud, as Cloudreve is just trying to be an online storage alternative, which I like about it. The setup on my homelab was straight-forward with Docker and quick to get going. I only wish it had an option to include OIDC support, but regardless the software does it's job and works.
Update: May 4th, 2025
The software seems to be a licensing model on it now which I'm against and doesn't appear to actually encrypt files. I'll be dropping it from my server.
Reviewed MCSManagerFantastic alternative to Pterodactyl in my opinion, with a easy and quick setup provided by their bash script. I love the management of Docker images and containers the software provides in it's web interface.
Daemons and instances are simple to setup and MCSManager has been straight-forward for me.
Been using it since mid-2023.
- Reviewed Mastodon
Mastodon, as a software, is great as a decentralized option for social media in Fediverse alongside Misskey. The built-in user interface is fast and snappy for me and I like that I can change the theme, especially as a server admin that can apply custom CSS to the instance.
I usually like to do most things on my own server where I have control and freedom, getting my own Mastodon instance running was 'mostly' straight-forward with it's Docker method. The documentations were written pretty...
Reviewed elementary OSWhen I did a full switch to Linux full-time back in 2020, I landed with elementary OS and was happy with my choice to go with it.
The desktop environment the developers made, called Pantheon, is very interested compared to other alternatives.
This is one of the Linux distributions I still recommend today, even after my switch to Fedora a year later in 2021.
Reviewed PolyMCWhile I would prefer to use Prism Launcher over PolyMC, I like that PolyMC allows you to use an "offline account" without requiring a Microsoft Account in the first place. Most launchers seems to require this now, Prism Launcher as well, which I'm not a fan of. But I can see legit why they may be doing that.
- Reviewed AlternativeTo
If you need to find an alternative option to any software, service, or anything else then this has been the go-to place for me to find one. I've been using AlternativeTo as the solution for over 10 years.
- Reviewed Zen Browser
Fantastic visual and performance is outstanding compared to Vivaldi and Librewolf. If you're wanting a desktop web browser like Arc, without Chromium and a required account, Zen is the way to go. It's Firefox based and no account of any sort is required upon setup.
Reviewed umamiStraight-forward setup with Docker, easy to look at analytics such as other alternatives like Plausible.
Umami has been the preferred analytics software for SudoVanilla and it's projects.
Reviewed IconoirThe best alternative to Font Awseome, in my opinion. It has been the go-to icon library choice for SudoVanilla and it's projects.

Reviewed WireGuard EasyNeed to quickly deploy a private a VPN on your own network? It was very simple and fast to setup with WireGuard Easy using the Docker Compose method(I use Dockge). Now I'm able to continue using the DNS I run on my network when I'm on the go. For on the go purposes, I would recommend checking out WG Tunnel app for Android, which is on F-Droid as well.
