Supports wide range of encodings. Helped substantially in translating an application only available in Japanese. My new favorite hex editor.

This was, & still is, my favorite desktop recorder for Windows. The only thing that would have made it even more amazing were it cross platform.

It breaks my heart that development stopped because of selfish individuals that take advantage of the hard work ot others.

    Potential to be the Best

This has quickly become my favorite fishing game. Had I found it sooner I definitely wouldn't have put as much time into others. I love the 3D graphics & the more realistic fishing mechanics. This gives the game a SLIGHTLY more simulation feel as opposed to slot machine-like. If the idea of a fishing simiulator is unappealing, don't let the label fool you, this is far from a full-fledged simulator. Catching a fish requires a tad more work. But don't pass it up on that...

Fishing Rival is obviously inspired by Fishing Clash with near-identical gameplay mechanics. The graphics & sound have been stepped up though. The screen scrolls with movement of the fish & rod instead of a static background. It includes all the tropes of a free-to-play/pay-optional game with gems used as in-game currency for buying items & perks from the shop. Like Fishing Clash players can engage in solo & club events.

Sadly, player experience is degraded by an overwhelming number of bots,...

An excellent cross-platform text editor with syntax highlighting support for code editing. If you are looking for something similar to Notepad++ for platforms other than Windows, this is probably the app you want. My only complaint is that it is not as lightweight on Windows as Notepad++, probably due to its dependency on Gtk+ libraries. Its configurations settings are also easier to navigate in my opinion.

It is a great free & open source environment providing a package manager with many command-line & GUI utilities. It also provides many packaged libraries for developing & building Windows applications. When compared to its origin counterparts on Unix/Posix systems, however, it is noticeably slower.

I wish I could say that CMake were easy to use. For the casual software developer, it's not. But it is quite versatile & cross-platform, supporting many different programming & scripting languages. And it is very customizable.

Finally! A multi-format image viewer for Windows that supports SVG.

I have only been using ImageGlass for a few days now, but I am already so happy with it. For a long time I have wanted a simple image viewer that supports scalable vector graphics along with other popular raster & vector formats. ImageGlass has been the only free answer for Windows so far. It has a simple interface for browsing images in a very familiar manner. It can be customized to open images in external editors. There...

  • Commented on Feature Request: Optiinal Link for Support Page

In addition to homepage, developer page, social media pages, & GitHub/source links, I think it would be a good idea to have an optional field to add a support page link. It would be useful for directing users to forums, mailing lists, bug trackers, etc.

  • Commented on Comment/Review Markdown not Parsed in Forum View

Not an important issue, but wanted to report it.

In the forum view, comment/review threads use a number of characters from the beginning of the text body to create the title. If Markdown formatting is used within those characters, it is not parsed & the raw special characters are displayed in the title.

I really like this app. It is a completely free alternative to RPG Maker. I haven't used RPG Maker that much, but from what I can tell, the style is similar. Currently, it even comes with some RPG Maker sprites & tilesets.

Unfortunately, development has not been very active recently & it needs many improvements & fixes. I commend the developers on an excellent job. The design is well done. But there is...

I absolutely love this site. It promotes freedom & the sharing of information. Artist & contributors can submit their work under specified Creative Commons or other supported open source licenses, for commercial or non-commercial use. It is similar to DeviantArt, but targets game artwork instead of artwork in general. Other types of assets are allowed as well. Such as music & sound effects. In my opinion, there is not another site on the web that rivals it in...

  • Commented on Markdown Support

This may have already been discussed, but it would be nice to have Markdown (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown) support for descriptions, threads, comments, & reviews.

I personally would like this so that links in the description can be shorter. For example, instead of displaying "GitHub project: https://github.com/minetest-mods/craftguide" in the description, it would only read "GitHub project" that is clickable. I believe the correct Markdown syntax would be...

  • Commented on Automatic Newline at End of Description

If the software submitter does not add an empty line at the end of the description, the "More Info" button is placed at the end of the last line of text, sometimes making it hard to notice. Would be nice if when someone adds/edits a software the server tries to detect if there is an empty newline at the end of the description and, if not, adds one automatically.

    [Edited by AntumDeluge, August 29]

I guess it's actually a little more complicated than said above, because the "More Info"...
