What is ZipXtract?
ZipXtract is a comprehensive, open-source file extraction utility designed to handle a wide range of compressed file formats, including RAR, ZIP, TAR, BZ2, GZ, 7Z, XZ, JAR, and Z. This versatile application offers users the ability to extract files from both standard and encrypted archives, specifically supporting password-protected ZIP and 7Z files.
In addition to its extensive extraction capabilities, ZipXtract also provides users with the functionality to create ZIP and 7Z archives, with the option to encrypt the contents for enhanced security. The software supports the extraction of multi-volume RAR files, including the latest RAR5 format, ensuring compatibility with a broad range of archived data. ZipXtract also includes support for handling split ZIP files during the extraction process and offers the ability to create split ZIP archives for more efficient storage and sharing of large files.
Note: The F-Droid version does not include RAR extraction and 7z compression features due to licensing restrictions. For the complete version, please use the GitHub or IzzyOnDroid releases.
