Y'z Dock Alternatives

    Y'z Dock is described as 'program launcher like the dock in MacOS X. This application is currently in beta, so please send all reports to the author. In order to add icons, drag and drop a file (.exe, shortcut, etc.) straight from Explorer to the dock area' and is an app in the OS & Utilities category. There are more than 25 alternatives to Y'z Dock for Windows, Linux, Mac and Xfce. The best alternative is RocketDock, which is free. Other great apps like Y'z Dock are Winstep Nexus (Freemium), Docky (Free, Open Source), Cairo-Dock (Free, Open Source) and ObjectDock (Paid).

    1. RocketDock is a Mac OS X dock clone. It provides a nice clean interface to drop shortcuts on for easy access and organization. With each item completely customizable there is no end to what you can add and launch from the dock.

      The program is no longer updated, but last version, 1.3.5, released in September 2008, can be still downloaded from the official website. "It is true, RocketDock has been discontinued. [...] The app remains available on https://rocketdock.com, but is unsupported."
