Write.as takes the distraction out of writing on other platforms and provides a calm place with your words. Then if you want the world to see them, it's as easy as sharing a link. Privacy is built in to every corner — you don't even have to sign up to use it. Just open the app, write something, and publish.

I believe this is an instance of writefreely with added fremium model, so it is not really an alternative, it is the same platform
Yes, it is, see https://writefreely.org/services/hosting WriteFreely can be installed and run on your own web server, but write.as saves you this effort.
It's easy to use and really helpful
Easy, adfree, freemium with an affordable price (and a generous free tier for those who want that).
I've used the software running this on a different instance of it. This is the flagship instance, and it's got a couple more features than the others do, namely the ability to publish to additional silos.
I like this blogging platform because it is minimalist and focused directly on the content.
Yes, we need more platforms like this. Wordpress is great, but it doesn't match the unique functionality offered here.
