Wrenfold: a personal finance app you own, not rent
Wrenfold is a budgeting and net worth app you buy once and run on your own Mac or PC. Your money data lives in one file on your computer, not on someone else's server, and nobody else can log in to it.
Plan your money. Build a monthly budget that shows what's left to assign. Plan your bills and paychecks, forecast your cash, and set savings goals with progress toward each one. A debt payoff planner compares paying the highest rate first with paying the smallest balance first, and shows when you'll be debt-free.
See where it goes. Import your bank's CSV, OFX or text PDF statements, and your own rules categorize them. You can also add a purchase by typing it plainly, like "spent 40 at Shell yesterday." Charts show spending, cash flow and your net worth over time. Insights lists the subscriptions and repeating charges you might cut, and notifications on your computer flag what's due.
Use it your way. Open it on your phone over your home Wi-Fi and pin it to your home screen. Export your data at any time.
Simple pricing. $79 once, then $5 a month for updates and email support from the person who builds it. Stop the plan and the app keeps working with all your data. Try it free in your browser for up to 60 entries.
What it doesn't do: it has no bank connection of its own (you can link SimpleFIN yourself, a separate service), it doesn't track individual stocks and funds, and there's no App Store app.
