### fxSolver

Online math solver, equation editor and database, graphing calculator and science/engineering problem helper.

- Because of its huge equation library and editor, it is a great alternative for solving problems fast or as a math notebook for engineers. The desktop version is far better than the mobile one though.

## Wolfram Alpha Comments

## Oh great, nagware

This is very convenient for doing electrical engineering questions with automatic unit conversion, but the nags they added to sell Pro are really annoying. $50 per year for software that doesn't understand me 50% of the time? Meh. For a lot of the things I use this for, I could use Qalculate or GNU Units instead, they're just not as pretty. I'll stick with the free site.

[Edited by endolith, May 03]In fact, it seems to have gotten a lot stupider lately. Queries that used to work fine don't anymore, and often it will not give me any results, and I'll have to enter the same thing again multiple times to get it to work.

I regularly use this for all sorts of mathematics, from the complex to the basics (particularly when my brain has clocked out early).

I love this. I used Fluid to convert it into a menubar applet.

## 5 stars

I was first introduced to Wolfram Alpha via Wolfram's Mathematica Program. Its app for mobile devices has the full functionality of Mathematica behind it. And that's not something many other similar programs can brag about. All in all, this is definite one of the best programs on the market. And now doing my Math homework is much more easier and I have no need to look for online homework service or whatever else.
