Pro: Small, commandline (and can be used in scripts - numbat out.txt), opensource. Cons: it is just a calculator. for something more cas-like there are opensource commandline maxima and proprietery commandline maple.

Smooth! I used to default to Numi, but my company blocked it. This alternative can be used straight from terminal (easy installation throguh homebrew).
