WinZip could be a good application, if it didn't constantly pop up asking you to register and buy the application, all the while preventing you from using it after a short 'trial' period. I thought the days of trial software were over, but I guess not. Luckily, though, there are much more versatile and free alternatives, such as 7-Zip.
Seems to be the Malware Slammer's choice.. along with Altruistics etc. I would think they could do something about that.
The recent version "WinZip 25" is very slow. I'm going to switch to PeaZip/PowerArchiver/7-Zip for good! Corel need to rethink their strategy, nagscreen will eventually destroy their bussiness.
There's no reason to pay for WinZip these days.
There are many alternatives.
