WFolder information
What is WFolder?
WFolder is a lightweight Windows application that allows users to organize their desktop using "container widgets" that group folders, notes, and shortcuts. Its goal is to improve desktop efficiency and cleanliness by offering a customizable interface for interacting with files and folders directly from the desktop environment.
Each widget saves its position, visibility, theme, and content settings, so that when the application or system is closed or restarted, the widgets are restored to their previous state. This demonstrates good usability (state persistence).
You can hide all widgets or individual widgets, hide only their content, change visual themes (there are 9 themes), and change the system tray icon. It also supports 32 languages. Compatible with Windows 10 and 11, 64 and 32 bits. Analysis hash values ??(e.g., via VirusTotal) are included for each variant, providing transparency and security.
Close (X) of folder widgets: Removes the widget. It does NOT delete the linked folder or the files within that folder.
For WNotes and WLinks, if you delete the widget (by clicking its "X"), all traces of the folder and the file(s) will be completely removed. Closing the application, shutting down/restarting the PC, or any other type of "closure" will not delete anything. Be careful.
