What is Wavosaur?
Wavosaur is a cool free sound editor, audio editor, wav editor software for editing, processing and recording sounds, wav and mp3 files. Wavosaur has all the features to edit audio (cut, copy, paste, etc.) produce music loops, analyze, record, batch convert. Wavosaur supports VST plugins, ASIO driver, multichannel wav files, real time effect processing. The program has no installer and doesn't write in the registry. Use it as a free mp3 editor, for mastering, sound design. The Wavosaur freeware audio editor works on Windows 98, Windows XP and Windows Vista.

This is a good editor for a beginner. It will fade in, fade out your music, remove vocals, has cross fading, EQ and much more. I need Delay and Reverb to name only a couple of features not included with Wavosaur But, it is a very good program! If you don't need a bunch of crap and just want to edit your songs, this is the one.
It doesn't work. I couldn't do something as simple as extract a short audio from a longer one. I copied an audio fragment and what it pasted was something completely different. I tried this several times and always came out with a mess. Besides, it takes too long even to do the minimal things, I know my PC is cheap but even Audacity runs way better than this. Edit: I figured out what the problem was, the 'undo' command make a total mess, don't know why. Anyway, that doesn't change the score I gave
Whilst Audacity may be better Wavosaur is small 348KB and is portable whilst providing all the basic functions needed. First timers are best trying this program to see if it matches their needs before trying others.
