What is VoxiGen?

VoxiGen Studio is a browser-based voxel editor for artists, indie game developers, and scientific visualization. Model, build scenes, rig characters, and render without installing software. No account is needed to start.

  • Sculpt models on canvases up to 1024³, with selection tools, transforms, symmetry, and up to 32 layers with locking, merging, and smooth surfaces per layer.

  • Compose worlds from reusable models: place, rotate, clone, group, and organize them in an Outliner. Edit one shared model to update every placement.

  • Build models, scenes, and rigged characters from prompts and reference images with optional prepaid AI tools.

  • Start with 49 character templates and nine skeleton types; fit joints, bind parts, attach props, and preview animation libraries or import compatible GLB clips.

  • Render with five modes, including real-time Ray Cast and progressive Path Trace. Tune materials, lights, sun, fog, and ground; capture stills and turntable frames.

  • Save selections as stamps; rotate, mirror, recolor, carve, and publish them as community kits.

  • Voxelize OBJ, STL, GLB, glTF, and textures, or import PNG, JPG, and WebP as flat voxel art.

  • Import CT, MRI, and other NRRD volumes as density-band layers; inspect live cross-sections.

  • Save VXB/VOX models and VXS scenes. Founder adds GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, animated character GLB, and level ZIP exports, with options for baked AO, texture colors, per-layer export, and LODs.

  • Load levels in Godot 4 through the free MIT-licensed importer, with lights, collision, markers, and LODs.

The editor and native saves are free. Founder is $29.99 once for mesh/level export and commercial use. Optional Cloud adds a private library and share links; AI uses prepaid credits.

Additional tools: brush, spray, line, curve, box, sphere, slope and cylinder; smooth, flatten and inflate sculpting; undo/redo; editable palettes, AI palettes, gradients and procedural noise fills. VXB supports optional password protection. Export options include skeleton/animation-only GLB. Community publishing includes creator profiles and reusable kits.

Optional Cloud is $4.99/month or $39.99/year, separate from Founder and AI credits.

VOXEN was built in Godot using models, characters, and levels created in VoxiGen Studio.
