What is Vox Music Player?
It just sounds better! The beauty is in its simplicity, yet behind the minimal exterior lies a powerful music player with a ton of features & support for all audio formats you should ever need.
VOX was originally developed following the principles of clarity, simplicity and versatility. Thus, the minimalistic interface incorporates both essential and unique features, which let you:
Listen to your music regardless of the format: • Play numerous lossy and lossless audio formats; • Export playlists in various formats (PLS, M3U, XSPF); • Open different playlist types including M3U, PLS, XSPF and the popular CUE format used to store CD rips; • Play audio files stored on NAS devices and other network drives.
Rule your music with ease: • Control the player from the main interface, Dock context menu or main menu controls; • Automatically search for all the missing album artwork from MusicBrainz and LastFM databases; • Use keyboard media keys, headphones buttons and Apple Remote to control playback (requires VOX Preference Pane); • Easily add music via smart drop zones, ordinary open dialog and Finder context menu; • Use equalizer with presets & custom mode, crossfade, fade on play/pause, converting music to 5.1 or 7.1 format; • Preview album artwork from your Dock icon; • Gapless playback support; • Get system or Growl playback notifications.
Focus on music, not the source: • Work with different audio sources including custom Playlist, iTunes Library, online Radio & even more in the future; • Keep your listening statistics up-to-date with your LastFM account by means of LastFM scrobbling.
Get more out of your technical equipment: • Advanced Audio Features: HOG Mode; Improved multi-output device support; • Convert stereophonic audio in your headphones to binaural using Bauer DSP (BS2B) technology; • Pause playback automatically on headphones disconnection; • Take full advantage of AirPlay (10.8+) to listen from any of your wireless output devices.

Comments and Reviews
I used it a lot when I had the Mac.
Vox V2 wasn't a bad attempt at a basic Mac audio player, but version 3 is crippleware that now no longer includes BS2B support without paying a recurring fee. Removing this fairly basic feature - and many others, if you check the web page - with not even an option to pay a one-off fee to re-enable it/them was a very disappointing act. MPD + front end is more work to set up but is ultimately more flexible, so I'll likely stick with that. Vox V2 is buried in the small print on the Vox site and while you can download and use that, I'd advise you to just look elsewhere for a less user-hostile solution.
Agree, switched to MPD + NCMPCPP + Mpdscrobbler
Vox has gone down the toilet. Now, it's pretty much useless unless you sign up for their premium nonsense, even if you paid before for radio and SoundCloud support. That's from a company that has added zero real features in 5 years (their cloud service isn't a feature in my book).
I've binned Vox and am now seeking alternatives.
Sadly, Vox doesn't support Youtube as source anymore.
Maybe I'm missing something. Seems to work for me, I just dropped a youtube url into the "Open Stream" and saved a play list of several streams.

Use Vox player. It lets listening music on YouTube and SoundCloud , he has stylish design, can adjust the sound quality and the price is acceptable. And that's cool, you can share your favourite tracks and has Loop, where I keep my music. Vox best player)
My favourite audio/music player in any operating system.... For OS X it's simply the best!
