What is Vov Music Player?
Vov Music Player is a lightweight super-simple audio player capable of playing FLAC, MP3, MP2, MP1, OGG, OPUS, WMA, M4A, AAC, WAV, WV, MIDI, MOD, S3M, WEBM and AIFF files. No complicated configuration needed to enjoy your favorite tunes from your desktop. It places a system tray icon for quick launch via the right-click context menu permitting you to initiate audio playback for your compiled songs quickly. All you need to do is select the source directory and play.
DSP Effects: 3D Rotation, Echo, Flanger The interface is minimalistic which provides all the essentials for playing audio. In addition, it includes a wide variety of themes, a decent equalizer and supports DSP effects such as 3D rotation, echo and flanger. You have the option to select between playing your music in a sequential or random order. Vov Music Player will turn your computer into an unobtrusive music box so you can enjoy some tunes while you work or surf. A nicely done audio player that doesn't tax your machine's system resources.
Built-in Visualizer and Statistics Vov Music Player has a music visualizer feature including circle, oscilloscope and spectrum effects. It generates animated imagery that follows loudness, frequency and rhythm of playing sound.
This music player keeps track of the number of times files are started and completed, allowing you to differentiate between the songs you listen to fully and the ones you can't bear to finish. By utilizing this approach, you can effortlessly identify your favorite songs without the need for manual selection. Auto-Skip Loud Songs If you are not in the mood to listen to loud songs, Vov Music Player can calculate the RMS loudness (dB value) of the playing file and skip the loud song automatically. You can even set a threshold value depending on your ear's taste. Go to Settings - Skip Loud Audio Files.
Auto-Skip Old Audio Files Have a large music collection and want to play only the most recently added files? Go to Settings - Skip Old Audio Files, then select the limiting date.
TTS (Text to Speech) to read the filenames Vov Music Player includes automatic DJ in order to read aloud filenames right before playing. It uses the preinstalled Microsoft SAPI Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine for generating voice. Users have the option to change DJ voice or disable DJ for uninterrupted music.

Incredible lightweight player! I have switched to VOV after Foobar went totally bad/slow with songs indexing. VOV player does not waste time for indexing - it plays the files at once. More pros: shuffle function, m4a support, themes, tackles huge libraries (over 10000 songs in mine, for example). Groovy and simple!
Ugly, unstable and not really usable for 1st try. If you want a minimalistic player, go for Nulloy instead. If you want a folder based, use Resonic Player. Any player is better than this really.
