Zed Editor vs Visual Studio Code Comments
I recommend Zed Editor as a fantastic alternative to Visual Studio Code. My main reasons are its focus on minimalism and performance. Zed feels incredibly fast and clean, avoiding the "bloat" of endless plugins that can slow down VS Code. Most importantly for me, it has first-class, built-in VIM keybindings that work perfectly out of the box, which is a major advantage over VS Code where it requires an extension.
I like Zed as alternative VSCode.

- Zed Editor is Freemium and Open Source
- Zed Editor is Lightweight

I am very interested in Zed as an alternative to VS Code. Even early releases have robust and ergonomic functionality, a clean look and feel, and wonderful speed. It is developed in Rust, not Electron. I am very interested to see where Zed goes.
