What is Virtual Cables?

Virtual Cables creates multiple virtual playback and recording devices on Windows. Audio sent to a Virtual Cable speaker is buffered and made available through the matching Virtual Cable microphone.

Features:

  • Create and remove virtual audio cables
  • Matching speaker and microphone for each cable
  • Up to 32 configurable virtual cables
  • 48 kHz stereo, 16-bit audio
  • Automatic synchronization with Windows Sound settings
  • One administrator confirmation when starting the USB/IP background component
  • Uses the Microsoft USB Audio class driver for the virtual audio endpoints
  • No command-line windows during normal operation

All configured cables will appear in Windows Sound settings and can be selected by compatible audio, recording, communication, and streaming applications.
