VibeWatch information
What is VibeWatch?
I built VibeWatch because my movie tracking was split across three places.
Letterboxd for movies. Trakt for TV. My own Jellyfin server for actually pressing play.
So I made VibeWatch.
It’s a free web app for tracking movies and TV shows. You can:
- Track what you’ve watched
- Build a watchlist
- Rate titles
- Pin a personal Top 10 on your profile
The main difference is this:
You can stream directly from your own server.
Connect Jellyfin or Plex in settings, and anything that matches your library gets a Play button right on the movie/show page. It streams in-browser through your own server with no external streaming accounts or third-party player.
As far as I know, it’s the only Letterboxd-style tracker that also plays your own files.
Other features:
- Daily release digest email with everything releasing from your watchlist
- Release calendar with upcoming episodes and movie releases
- Mood-based discovery instead of just genres
- Top 10 profiles instead of Top 4
- Weekly Friday blog covering what Reddit was arguing about on r/movies and r/television
It’s completely free. No ads, no affiliate links, no paywalls.
Built solo with Next.js, Supabase, and Cloudflare Workers.
If you already use Letterboxd or Trakt, the comparison pages at vibewatch.app/vs break down what’s similar and what’s different.
