What is Vexor?

Vexor is a self-hosted IT infrastructure monitoring platform for servers, network devices, applications and services. Built on the battle-tested Naemon monitoring core and the Nagios plugin ecosystem, Vexor wraps that proven engine in a modern, fast web interface and an opinionated workflow designed to make monitoring genuinely easy to set up and live with. It is a drop-in alternative to op5 Monitor, ITRS Opsview, Nagios XI, Icinga, Zabbix and Checkmk.

Add hosts in seconds. Type an address and Vexor scans it for common services — ping, SSH, FTP, RDP, HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP, TLS certificates and more — and proposes a ready-made set of checks to tick on. If an agent is already present it is detected automatically and additional checks are offered. You can deploy agents (NRPE/NSClient++ and others) straight from the GUI for Windows and Linux, optionally bundling extra packages along with the agent.

Everything you expect from enterprise monitoring, without the price tag:

  • SLA & availability reporting with PDF export and scheduled email reports
  • Flexible notifications — email, SMS, push and webhooks — with escalation chains, on-call rotations, quiet hours, rate-limiting and alert storm control
  • Distributed monitoring with remote pollers for multi-site and segmented networks
  • Business Service Management (BSM) and service dependency mapping
  • SNMP discovery, traps and MIB import; agentless checks over SSH/WMI
  • Synthetic / transaction checks and anomaly detection
  • Log monitoring with a built-in log pipeline and alerting
  • Public status page with incident history and email subscriptions
  • Configuration backup for network devices
  • A live NOC wallboard, global search, dark mode, customizable dashboards and a Prometheus /metrics endpoint

Built for real operations. Authentication is handled through Keycloak (OpenID Connect) with single sign-on, LDAP/AD integration, role-based access control and two-factor authentication. Vexor ships as signed RPM packages and a Docker image, installs cleanly on Rocky/RHEL-family Linux, and upgrades in place with automatic schema migrations.

Vexor is designed around one principle: powerful monitoring shouldn't require a consultant to operate. Sensible defaults, guided setup and an in-app product tour get you from zero to a monitored estate in minutes.
