What is Verified Apps?

Verified Apps allows you to check the signature on the apps you have installed against a database.

The goal is to remove "TOFU" (trust on first use), when first installing an Android application from an APK download.

By comparing the signatures of multiple people, a trusted database can be used as reference, to determine if the app you have installed is legitimate or a fake.

Be aware that different sources (F-Droid, Google Play, direct APK release) often have different signatures!

Using this app you can check your installed Apps, downloaded APK files and submit your signature hash to the database.
