What is VaultSync?
VaultSync is an open-source backup and snapshot manager designed to make backups transparent, reliable and easy to inspect.
The project started as a personal tool for managing backups of development projects stored across local drives and NAS storage. Many backup tools run silently in the background without clearly showing what actually changed or what was backed up. VaultSync focuses on making that information visible.
The application provides a desktop interface that tracks projects, snapshots and backup history while showing storage usage, changes between backups and overall backup health.
VaultSync is particularly useful for users who store projects or files on network shares such as SMB or NFS NAS systems.
