What is UseHourly?

UseHourly is a free, open-source timesheet for freelancers. Log your day in seconds (type 1.5, 1:30 or 90m and press Enter), or start a one-tap timer. There is an editable weekly timesheet, a month calendar, PDF invoices that track paid and unpaid, and an annual report for your accountant. Time exports to Excel for any week, month or custom date range, and you can import your history from Toggl or Clockify. A no-signup demo with sample data lets you try it first. It is free with no ads and no paywall, and it is MIT licensed. It also runs a remote MCP server (30 tools), so an AI assistant such as Claude, Cursor or VS Code can log time, start timers and create invoices for you.
