FileHippo's tool is nice, but only works for software hosted on their site. Update Notifier, updates all of those programs and a surprising number of others. Out of the various update tools I've used update Notifier covers the broadest range of apps with the most accurate and up-to-date downloads. Plus the executable runs from removable media, so it's easy to help your friends and family keep their systems up-to-date too.
Before cleansofts.org was recently offline for a while, this was the update notification tool i liked best. Until it's up to date again, you should consider
