Well being free they have to have some way of making money to keep the site up, servers are expensive :/

Adblock Plus it's good to mix with Ad Muncher since it can remove cpalead ads.

I understand that ads are needed to keep it free. But ads that pose as download links are not my idea of fun.

But I still use UP because I have adblock plus.

I wouldn't allow that on my site, but in a situation like this, I dont think they get to choose what type of ad's show up. Also NoScript! for firefox is good for blocking ads

If you are uploading for your own use, that's fine. But if someone without AdBlock tries to view your file... good luck.

I am very sorry for the excessive amount of ads. But Mighty_Mac is correct, it does help a lot to pay for everything. We are currently trying to negotiate with our ad affiliation to reduce the amount of ads, but maintain the same revenue. To help decrease the amount of ads that display for our users, you can donate by clicking the button on the bottom of our site. Currently, I the owner, use all the money I receive to pay for solely running the site. My goal for creating this site was to create a simple unlimited free service for sending and receiving files. I do understand that there are other services like this, but they are not unlimited. Which for web junkies like myself run into this problem over and over again. Most companies that do offer this service charge more then a reasonable web guru would agree with. So I created this simple service. Not for the money, but to help others. Thank you.
