What is umami?
Umami is a self-hosted web analytics tool that emphasizes simplicity and privacy. It's a free, open-source alternative to Google Analytics and other paid services, collecting only essential metrics viewable on a single page. Its features include tracking page views, devices used by visitors, and their geographical origin. The software can track unlimited websites, including subdomains and individual URLs, from one installation.
Umami's self-hosting feature allows it to bypass ad-blockers, and its lightweight tracking script is compatible with older browsers like Internet Explorer. As a self-hosted solution, you maintain full data ownership. The tool also supports multiple accounts for hosting data for others, with each account having its own dedicated dashboard.
Umami prioritizes privacy by not collecting personally identifiable information and anonymizing all data. The software is open-source, licensed under the MIT license, and its source code is available on Github.

Comments and Reviews
Open source. Clean UI.
Straight-forward setup with Docker, easy to look at analytics such as other alternatives like Plausible.
Umami has been the preferred analytics software for SudoVanilla and it's projects.
