DocVault turns WordPress into a document library. Upload a file once and its download link never changes: when you upload a new version, every link on your pages, menus and emails serves the new file automatically, and the previous versions are kept so you can restore them.

Visitors find documents in a searchable, sortable table added with a block or a shortcode, with optional category, tag and file type filters. PDFs can open in the browser.

Each document can be public or limited to logged-in users, and can have an expiry date after which it can no longer be downloaded. Downloads are counted, and direct access to stored files is blocked.

The free plugin keeps up to 5 versions per document. DocVault Pro (from $99/year) adds unlimited version history, role-based access, an approval workflow, an audit trail with CSV export, email notifications, download analytics, bulk upload and duplicate detection.
