What is TravelJournal Companion?
TravelJournal Companion is a web app for travelers who are too tired to write in the evening but still want a readable travel report afterwards. Instead of tracking your route on a map, it focuses on the story: you jot down keywords, impressions and highlights for each travel day directly in the app, and the AI (Anthropic's Claude) writes finished daily reports in your chosen style: Personal Diary, Travel Journalist, Hemingway or Robinson Crusoe.
Reports are generated natively in German, English, French, Dutch, Spanish or Italian, and export as a PDF — with your photos or AI-generated scene images. AI-written daily reports and the simple PDF export are free, with 5 starter credits; credits are only needed for extras like AI scene images or the premium PDF (no subscription). It does not do automatic GPS tracking or trip planning — many travelers use it alongside a tracking app.
