Traveled

Traveled is a travel journal that is also a map. You record the countries you have been to, the year of each trip, the cities you visited and your own notes, and the app paints them on a world map. Trips you have not taken yet can go on the map too, as planned travels.

The same countries can be shown three ways. Visits deepens a country's colour each time you go back. Years paints every country in the colour of the year you were there, so the map doubles as a timeline. Atlas shows your travels on Apple's map, with seas and city names. Country focus zooms into one country and lists its cities by year.

There is no account and no sign-in. Your travels, cities, notes and photos stay on your device, and the app has no analytics, no tracking and no ads. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. City search and the Atlas map use Apple's MapKit and need a network connection.

The free app has no trip limit and nothing expires: unlimited countries, travels, cities, years and notes, planned travels, the year filter, country focus, the Visits map, and importing a .traveled journal file. Traveled Pro is a single purchase, not a subscription, and covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. It adds photos on your travels, the Years and Atlas maps, and export of the whole journal, photos included, to a .traveled file you can keep as a backup or import on your other iPhone, iPad or Mac.
