Trail Explorer is a mobile platform to explore your environment, discover places of interest, chart untraveled itineraries, plan a trip to any map location, stay fit and have fun.
Trail Explorer app lets you draw fancy trails, check points of interest, get detailed distance and elevation statistics, search, save, share and visualize popular trail itineraries, read news or the local weather to help you prepare your next adventure and stay safe even in barely traveled destinations.
Some noteworthy features:
- choose from a range of maps for hiking, running, and cycling
- search trails anywhere, change colors, bulk-save for offline
- generate a hiking snapshot of any location: popular trails and geo POIs, like peaks, lakes, volcanoes, outdoor sports..
- in live mode see a dashboard of new geo-objects appearing within 10 km with info, distance and elevation stats
- see a ChatGPT report on adventure options around, videos, webcams, travel picks
- tap any point on the map for local info, trails, POIs, the weather, saving and sharing routes and locations,...
- long-press any point for a list of POI shortcuts (geo objects, water resources, huts, gas stations,...)
- tap any trail on the map for detailed stats, charts and trail highlights
- tap any icon for detailed POI info
- ask ChatGPT for advice, adventure travel and sports options around any location on the map
- draw trails with a few taps to calculate useful metrics and view elevation profile charts
- read an extensive selection of news across 20 categories, including hiking, high mountains, climbing, biking, scuba diving, sailing/boating, adventure, and many more
- check the weather forecast for any location directly from the map
