PLAN YOUR PERFECT HIKING, MOUNTAIN BIKING OR ROAD CYCLING ADVENTURE

TURN-BY-TURN VOICE NAVIGATION
Never take your eyes off the road with turn-by-turn voice navigation: your precise, down-to-the-inch verbal navigator that doesn’t distract you from your surroundings. Keep your eyes firmly on the adventure in front of you and navigate with ease, even on small trails or in the woods.
OFFLINE MAPS FOR OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
Download your planned outdoor adventures and save topographic maps with one tap. Navigate the outdoors even when the internet is down or unreliable. Differentiate hiking paths, MTB singletracks or paved roads, terrain and land cover at a glance.
BROWSE HIGHLIGHTS: THE KOMOOT COMMUNITY’S FAVORITE PLACES
So you can decide on the destination of your next adventure at a glance, see Highlights on the map. From peaks, parks, and points of interest, to singletracks and sandwich shops, these places or segments, showing up as red dots in the planner, are the spots other users think you should check out. And if you’re in the know, you can recommend your own to the community in turn and inspire others to visit your favorite places, too.
And much more…

Said about Komoot as an alternative
HeartWatch is completely private (data does not leave your phone), while Komoot keeps your health data on their server. HeartWatch is a one time $5/€6 payment. Komoot is a $60/year subscription.
- Tour Planner
Friendly name, nice functionality but incredibly invasive, sending all of your health, contact and personal data to Komoot servers all the time. On top of that deceptive pricing scheme, where you buy regional maps for a flat fee but you cannot even see sport specific trails unless you pay €60/year. Data harvesting and making us pay for them to do it. As bad as Facebook, except we pay for it.
You may say all fitness "apps" behave in the same way (Strava, Garmin, GaiaGPS, Nike etc). Most do, but not all. If you're on iOS and have an Apple Watch, HeartWatch will record your workouts with built-in Fitness routines, map them with your heart rate and sends zero data off of your phone and doesn't even upload to iCloud unless you enable it. HeartWatch costs just €6 as a one time purchase. Abvio's Runmeter and Cyclemeter also don't take personalised data. They require just €10/year subscription and co-operate with both Apple's Fitness app and Strava and MyFitnessPal. Abvio does collect anonymised data so for 100% privacy, HeartWatch is the winner, plus it's a purchase not a subscription.
