What is Trace?
Trace is an open source web extension which has been built from the ground up to be an easy privacy toolkit for the browser. An extension to stop multiple advanced tracking techniques employed by websites all over the web.
Trace can protect against:
- Canvas Fingerprinting
- Audio Fingerprinting (Updated!)
- WebGL Fingerprinting (New!)
- JS Crypto Currency Mining
- WebRTC Leakage
- User-Agent Tracking
- Browser Plugin Fingerprinting (Advanced)
- Hardware Fingerprinting Protection
- Beacon Requests
- Bad Top Level Domains
- Hyperlink Auditing
- HTTP Referrer Headers
- Google Header Tracking
- E-Tag Tracking
- Screen Resolution Tracking
- Battery API
- Specific Tracking Cookies
- URL Tracking Parameters
There are also experimental features, such as Proxy IP Spoofing which work by attempting to trick the site you're visiting into thinking your computer is a proxy requesting on behalf of another client. This results in better privacy online due to a less consistent IP being supplied to 3rd parties.

Said about Trace as an alternative
Extensive support to fuzz up tracking methods and has good explanation of what each setting does, and can configure most of those settings. Extra features and more premium tracking lists will require a one-time purchase.
One of the best privacy oriented extensions around. Probably the best and feature rich suite.
The only thing I'd say is lacking is the UI design, and changing settings and stuff can be a bit clunky.
