What is Token Counter?

Token Counter is a free, MIT-licensed plugin for OpenAI Codex and Claude Code. It reads your local session logs and builds an HTML report: tokens by day and session, cached versus uncached input, output, response times, and what the same usage would cost at API list prices. Everything stays on your machine. An optional skill shares daily totals to the public leaderboard at tokenusage.dev, only when you ask and confirm; prompts, paths and account details are never sent.
