What is Tokbit?

Tokbit is a free web tool for learning programming and algorithms with flowcharts. You build a program from flowchart blocks and write expressions in a small, typed subset of Python. Then you run it: step through it block by block, set breakpoints, watch variables change and follow the call stack of your own functions.

Output goes to a retro 40×25 character screen in the style of 8-bit computers, with 16 colours, sprites and simple sound, so beginners can quickly make small games. Every program can also be viewed as Python code, with the current line highlighted while debugging.

Over 30 examples from "Hello" to Snake, Breakout and Sokoban, sorted by difficulty. Works on computers, tablets and phones, in English and Czech. No installation and no sign-up. An optional account saves programs to the cloud and shares them by link.
