What is TKO File Recovery?

TKO File Recovery is a free recovery application for Windows users who need to restore files that were deleted from a drive, USB flash drive, folder, disk image, or Recycle Bin location. It provides a direct workflow for scanning a storage location, finding deleted items, checking recovery results, and saving recovered files to another destination.

The software is useful for common accidental deletion cases involving office documents, PDFs, photos, videos, audio files, archives, text files, spreadsheets, presentations, and other file formats. It includes built-in file type groups for faster searching, while also allowing custom search masks for specific extensions.

Technical highlights:

TKO File Recovery supports NTFS and FAT32 recovery workflows. On NTFS volumes, it can perform a fast scan using MFT records and display an estimated condition for found files. This helps users quickly identify deleted files and understand whether recovery is likely to be successful. FAT32 volumes are also supported through deleted directory entry scanning.

The results table displays useful information such as file name, original path, size, modified date, and file condition. Users can select individual files, mark multiple results, recover selected files, recover all results, or stop an active scan when needed.
