What is TinyPS?

TinyPS is a local-first image editor and background remover that runs entirely inside your browser as a Chrome / Edge extension. It crops, resizes, rotates, adds text and fill layers, compresses to a target file size, and converts between JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP and GIF — including formats Chrome can't export natively.

Its standout feature is privacy: every edit, compression and conversion happens on your own device. Nothing is ever uploaded to a server, and the AI background removal model (u2netp) runs locally via WebAssembly, so there is no cloud API, no account and no queue. It's a strong offline alternative to Photopea, Squoosh and remove.bg for anyone who doesn't want their photos leaving their computer.
