TheGitAI is an AI coding agent that carries a task from investigation to a verified change. Give it the outcome, and it gathers the evidence it needs to get there.
It maps your repository, makes coherent changes across files, and checks its work with your own tests, builds, linters and typecheckers. It works with Git branches, commits and reviews, and keeps dev servers, watchers and local APIs running as background jobs while it works.
Use it two ways with one account: a CLI that sits next to any editor, or a desktop app (beta) for macOS, Windows and Linux with your projects, chats, files and changes side by side.
Beyond the code:
- Browser Control works in the Chrome you already use, including signed-in dashboards, cloud consoles and admin panels, through the TheGitAI Chrome extension.
- Computer Control (beta) uses the apps on your computer by sight, with the mouse and keyboard, so even apps without a CLI or API are within reach. It works on your screen, or on a separate headless screen on the same machine while your mouse and keyboard stay yours. GNOME Wayland, Linux Mint and macOS.
You stay in control with approvals, a read-only plan mode, and undo or checkpoint restore that reverses the agent's edits without touching yours. Steer or queue messages while it works, switch between curated frontier models mid-session without losing the conversation, and connect MCP servers and agent skills.
The local client is source-visible, and session history stays on your machine.
