What is The Merchant Engine?

The Merchant Engine is a complete, self-hosted ecommerce platform released under the MIT license. It is a full store, not a starter kit.

Commerce API: catalog, cart, checkout, orders, inventory, promotions, gift cards, returns and shipping. Stock never oversells.

Admin: orders, products, customers, promotions and analytics, with roles, an audit log and two-factor sign-in.

Storefront: server-rendered, fast and indexable. French, English and Arabic, with the layout mirrored for Arabic.

Installer: asks for your settings once, checks every integration, builds and seeds the store, then runs smoke tests.

The code runs on your own server and the data sits in your own database, so you own the store and all accounts. Built with NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, Prisma, Angular, Analog.js and Docker.
